Brian K Loso is a highly skilled technician who has spent his career making significant contributions to the field of prototyping, invention and design. Currently, he serves as the Engineering Test Group lead at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory, where he plays a key role in developing and testing cutting-edge technologies.

In his current role at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory, Loso is responsible as a lead in a team of engineers who work on developing and testing new technologies. He is known for his ability to analyze complex technical problems and devise innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible.

In his free time, Loso enjoys many hobbies like restoring classic cars, riding motorcycles and a variety of other hobbies like DIY smart home projects and game development. Loso is an exceptional individual who has achieved great success in his professional career without formal education. Born and raised in Seattle, he grew up in a humble family where his father was a cabinet maker and his mother a hairdresser.

Despite not having a formal education, Loso had a keen interest in technology and innovation from an early age. He spent countless hours tinkering with gadgets and experimenting with electronics, learning through trial and error and self-discovery.

From his teen years into his twenties, Loso grew up around the Woodinville wine industry, this was a unique and enriching experience that would leave a lasting impact on his life. His uncle owned and operated a small winery in the area, and from a young age, he was exposed to the fascinating world of winemaking, equipment operation, modification and maintenance. 

After gaining valuable experience with his uncle’s winery, he began working for several other wineries in the area, each with its own unique focus and style. Through these experiences, Loso honed his skills and gained a wide range of knowledge in many disciplines throughout those years that have given him a deep appreciation for the arts and science.

As he grew older, Loso’s passion for technology continued to grow. He landed his first machinist job at Limited Productions in Bellevue, WA, where he quickly made a name for himself as a talented machinist and designer. He went on to work for several other companies, where he developed his skills and gained valuable experience.

Through hard work and dedication, Loso’s reputation in the tech industry grew, and he eventually landed a position as a Scientific Instrument Maker at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory, a renowned research and development firm in Bellevue Washington.  After countless projects and several promotions, he became the Engineering Test Group lead for the SIMTG (Scientific Engineering and Test Group). Here, he found a home with a team of engineers working on groundbreaking projects that pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the world of engineering.

Loso’s success is a testament to his determination, passion, and natural talent. He has demonstrated that formal education is not always a prerequisite for success, and that with a strong work ethic, a thirst for knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, anyone can achieve great things.
